At Gerling Spine Care and Research Institute, we are dedicated to providing advanced, minimally invasive treatments for spinal conditions, including sacroiliac (SI) joint dysfunction. One of the most innovative solutions we offer for SI joint pain is the iFuse Implant System®, a groundbreaking approach to stabilizing and fusing the SI joint, effectively reducing pain and improving patient outcomes.
What is the iFuse Procedure?
The iFuse Implant System® is a minimally invasive solution designed to treat SI joint dysfunction by stabilizing and fusing the joint. During the procedure, small incisions are made, and specially designed titanium implants are placed across the joint to provide immediate stabilization and long-term fusion.
The iFuse implants are 3D-printed with a porous surface, encouraging bone growth to naturally fuse the joint. This procedure typically takes less than an hour and is performed on an outpatient basis, allowing for a faster recovery compared to traditional open surgery.
